All our makeup artists and hair stylists are accredited so you can be assured you are working with someone who knows what they are doing.
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?
We use only the best professional makeup, hair and skincare brands, with a focus on cruelty free makeup. Using these products means that you can be sure the results are long lasting, beautiful and flawless and in the best interests of the environment. The makeup we apply is more intense than your day to day makeup as it needs to be suitable for photography, but we can assure you the finish will leave you looking natural, flawless and comfortable.
DO YOU OFFER MAKEUP AND HAIR TRIALS?
Yes, we offer makeup and hair trials for all our brides. These are an additional cost and are done at our home studio on the Sunshine Coast. The cost for the trial is usually the same as on the wedding day.
It is not essential to have one, but it is recommended. Being one of the most important days of your life, and one where all eyes are on you, it makes sense to want to get your look right. A trial gives you an opportunity to test and fine tune the look you want on your wedding day. We will go through the colours, makeup design and hair styling with you and take notes, as well as offer advice and ideas. You will need to bring along any pictures you have of looks that you like, as well as any veils or hairpieces that you would like to use so we can incorporate them into your style.
ARE EYELASHES INCLUDED?
Yes they are. Temporary false lashes are included as complimentary in all our pricing should you wish to have them. We have plenty of options to choose from, ranging from individual clusters to natural strip lashes or over the top glam style lashes. There is a style to suit every taste and eye shape. It’s up to you which style you prefer and how dramatic you want them to look.
Lash application is included and if you choose to have strip lashes these can be reused many times, as long as you take proper care of them.
DO YOU DO BLOWDRY'S?
Blowdrying is a very specific skill and takes many years to perfect the technique. This is not something we routinely offer as a service as we only have a couple of our hairstylists that offer blowdrying. You will need to advise us at the time of booking if you require a blowdry so we can check availability of stylists. Please note that blowdrying done in addition to heat styling will incur a fee of $40. If just having a blowdry done then this is $80 for long hair and $60 for short hair.
WILL MY MAKEUP REQUIRE TOUCH UPS THROUGHOUT THE DAY?
When makeup is applied correctly, it will last many hours and is designed to withstand the elements. However because your skin is a living, breathing organ and because makeup sits upon the skin and isn’t a tattoo, it will deteriorate somewhat over time which is unavoidable.
We recommend that you purchase a compact of translucent powder which will help to keep your makeup looking flawless and prevent shine, as well as a lipstick in your chosen colour to top up with during the day.
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
We suggest you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment, especially in the Spring/Summer months from August – December, as this is when we are at our busiest. We find most brides book approx 6-12 months out from their wedding date, but some as far as 2 years ahead for those that are really organised! It’s completely up to you. Should you need to book on short notice, we will always try our best to accommodate you.
DO I NEED TO PAY A DEPOSIT AT THE TIME OF BOOKING?
Yes, if booking a wedding you will need to pay a 30% non-refundable deposit to secure your date. The remainder of the balance is due no less than 14 days prior to your event.
DO YOU COME TO ME OR DO I GO TO YOU?
We provide a fully mobile hair and makeup service to the Sunshine Coast, Fraser Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast and surrounding areas. We are also available for any destination weddings, near and far. Having your makeup and hair done in your own venue will ensure there is no added stress for you on your wedding day or for your special event. Please note that there may be a small travel fee for some places.
FEES + TERMS & CONDITIONS
We are upfront with all our clients on what their total cost for the day will be at the time of booking. You will be provided with a fully itemised quote that will have all the listed details on there. We do charge a travel fee for some areas which varies depending on the distance to travel, as well as parking costs and early start fees for anything prior to 6am, but we don’t charge additional fees for Sundays or public holidays.

ARE YOU A LEGITIMATE BUSINESS?
Yes, Evoque Makeup Artistry is a legitimate business. We are registered with an ABN and pay insurances, taxes and fees to maintain the business. As such we are subject to rigorous OHS safety regulations and hygiene standards. All makeup is applied hygienically and tools are cleaned and sterilised before, during and after use. Each and every artist is also fully qualified, with years of experience to ensure you are dealing only with the utmost professionals and experts in our field.
